Entry list: MotoGP 2011

Official rider and team line-up for MotoGP 2011.
The FIM has today released a provisional entry list for the 2011 MotoGP World Championship.

The 17-rider entry list contains no surprises, although it does confirm that reigning world champion's Yamaha are at present without a title sponsor after the loss of Fiat.

Ducati's title sponsor Marlboro is not officially listed due to tobacco advertising restrictions...

Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa fighting for the title these four plus Spies fighting for the win these five plus Simoncelli and Dovisiozo fighting for the podium And the rest really not so far behind. What danger ?? I'd rather have this kind of line up than what we had in the mid-late 90's when Doohan lapped a dozens privateers each race, and won with 10, 20 seconds margin. Nobody said at that time the class was in danger, but it was boring ! The 125's & 250's were the close competition then. And if you look back when Sheene and Roberts were winning, the rest of the field was MINUTES away. And when Ago was winning, etc. Now the field is reduced but the competition is tighter than ever. It's been a while we've seen so many "favorites" at the start of a season. Late 80's, early 90's - and that was a golden age. 20 long years ago !! So apart from heartattacks watching TV i cant see no danger going into 2011 !
