After being forced to miss the entire second day of this week's Sepang MotoGP test due to sickness, Valentino Rossi was one of the first out on track this morning for the start of the third and final day.
Rossi was weakened by fever and a cold when he arrived at the track yesterday morning and, after consulting with the team and with doctors from the Clinica Mobile, he returned to his hotel, where he underwent anti-flu treatment.
Hopes of an afternoon return didn't materialise, and Rossi will now try to make up for lost time.
The seven time MotoGP champion, who has moved to Ducati after seven seasons at Yamaha, had been ninth fastest on day one of the second Sepang test.
After Sepang, there will be only two more days of testing (at Qatar) before the new racing season begins.
