Nico Terol kept his grip on the 125cc World Championship by leading both of Friday's free practice sessions for the Portuguese Grand Prix at Estoril

Terol, who leads the championship by 19 points over Jonas Folger after victory in both races so far, was over one-second quicker than Johann Zarco in the morning session - then put his Aspar Aprilia 0.708sec clear of Sandro Cortese in the afternoon.

Cortese, second and sixth in the 2011 races to date, was the only person within one-second of Terol this afternoon, with Zarco third for Ajo Derbi and Terol's team-mate Hector Faubel in fourth.

Folger was seventh for Ajo Aprilia with team-mate Danny Kent the top Brit in eighth.
