PICS: Pedrosa, Simoncelli Le Mans clash
These pictures (see below for full sequence) show the controversial incident between Dani Pedrosa and Marco Simoncelli in Sunday's French MotoGP at Le Mans - which left Pedrosa with a broken collarbone and Simoncelli a ride-through penalty.

Pedrosa had just re-passed Simoncelli for second along the back straight and was on the inside line as they peeled into to the following left-right Esses.

Simoncelli then attempted to ride around the outside of Pedrosa and the pair made contact at the apex, Pedrosa striking the side of Simoncelli's bike, then falling.

Pedrosa, second in the championship, broke his right-collarbone while Simoncelli received a ride-through penalty, dropping him from second to fifth and thus ending his hopes of a debut MotoGP podium.
