Stoner completes more laps on 2012 Honda

Casey Stoner manages a further 25 laps on the 2012 Honda prototype in the absence of Repsol Honds team-mate Dani Pedrosa.
Casey Stoner has completed another 25 laps aboard the new 1000cc Honda MotoGP prototype after HRC decided to stay at Jerez for one more day.

The Australian got his first run on the machine earlier in the week, but with the original plan to test with Dani Pedrosa scuppered by his collarbone injury, HRC had hinted they would cut their two-day test short.

Nonetheless, having completed 50 laps on day one, Stoner managed another 25 laps on the bike without problem during the morning. Shinichi Ito took over and conducted the running during the afternoon.

Though conditions were cooler than the previous day, HRC pronounced themselves pleased with the data acquired.

"And he didn't crash!!!!" Oh, man. You've gotta watch this season. You know how we've been ragging him for falling off the Ducati all this time? Turns out, it was the flippin' bike!
