Johann Zarco, stripped of a debut 125cc victory last Sunday in Catalunya, led the way in both dry and wet conditions at Silverstone on Friday.

A rain shower in the opening minutes of FP2 sent all riders back to the pits and, with conditions quickly worsening, the decision to switch to wets at least proved an easy one.

Matteoni Aprilia rider Louis Rossi had set a 2min 27sec before the rain, but the timing screens later scrubbed the dry out-laps and declared Zarco quickest with a 2min 34.757sec.

Zarco had also been fastest in the dry morning session, when he beat world championship leader Nico Terol by 0.040sec.

Terol was awarded his fourth victory of the season when Zarco was penalised for an 'illegal overtake' at the final turn in Catalunya.

Home rider Danny Webb was second quickest in the wet this afternoon, but almost three-seconds slower than Zarco!
