125: Gadea leads Friday afternoon at Mugello

Sergio Gadea fastest during damp Friday practice (2) for the Italian 125cc Grand Prix at Mugello.
Damp weather at Mugello on Friday afternoon saw Sergio Gadea finish 125cc second practice on top of the timesheets.

Light rain in the Tuscan hills meant Gadea's sixth lap of 2min 2.167sec kept the Spaniard fastest by 0.591sec over Sandro Cortese, with Mahindra's Danny Webb in third.

Gadea's Paris Hilton Racing team-mate and double 2011 race winner Maverick Vinales was twelfth fastest, while world championship leader Nico Terol was a cautious 31st, having not set a representative lap time.

Terol had been fastest in the dry morning practice session, when the Aspar Aprilia rider was 0.864sec quicker than Johann Zarco. Terol, who sat out last weekend's Assen round due to a finger injury, has a 27 point over Jonas Folger heading into this weekend.

Folger was seventh this morning and 24th this afternoon.
