Sandro Cortese set the pace in the slower second free practice session for the 125GP class at Brno, with Nicolas Terol's best from FP1 standing as the day's fastest time.

Cortese moves quickest during the closing stages of FP2, displacing long-time leader Johann Zarco from the top of the leaderboard, though his effort of 2mins 08.762secs was still down on Terol's impressive 2mins 08.456secs FP1 time.

Interestingly, Terol was well off that pace himself in FP2, the championship leader down in seventh position overall, seven tenths down on Cortese and therefore a second slower than he managed before. Ahead of him, his title rival Zarco was second, half a second up on third place man Miguel Oliviera and Sergio Gadea.

Fifth fastest fell to Danny Kent, the young Briton finding pace after being handed the upgraded Red Bull Ajo Aprilia normally reserved for its lead rider Jonas Folger. The German won't race at Brno this weekend after being taken ill.

Alberto Moncayo was sixth fastest, ahead of Terol, while Sachsenring winner Hector Faubel was eighth best. Efren Vazquez and Maverick Vinales completed the top ten.
