Moto2 star rookie Marc Marquez took his fourth pole in a row by just 0.001sec, on his very last lap of qualifying at Indianapolis on Saturday.
Moments earlier, the Repsol Suter rider had been knocked from the top by Ioda Racing FTR's Simone Corsi, but grabbed pole back by the smallest of margins.
Andrea Iannone - who won his second race of the year last time at Brno - will complete a front row covered by just 0.120sec for Suter, with Tech 3's Bradley Smith heading row two.
Title leader Stefan Bradl was 1.3sec from pole, leaving him down in 22nd place.
The young German's Kalex chassis doesn't seem to suit the unique Indy racetrack as much as the Suters and FTRs, which dominate the top ten.
Marquez has beaten Bradl in the last four rounds to reduce the German's title lead to 43 points.
