Lorenzo confident heading to Aragon

Jorge Lorenzo will bid to shorten the gap to Casey Stoner in the fight for the 2011 MotoGP title with a second straight win.
Jorge Lorenzo is feeling positive ahead of his third home round of the 2011 MotoGP World Championship season at Motorland Aragon after clawing back precious ground on Casey Stoner at Misano.

The Spaniard produced an impressive ride at Misano to claim his third victory of 2011, though he remains a sizeable 35 points behind arch-rival Stoner in the overall standings.

Nonetheless, Yamaha rider Lorenzo has high hopes heading to his third home round of the season at Aragon, even if it was one of only two events in which he failed to get onto the podium in 2010.

"I am very happy to be riding at home again and for a second time in Aragon. I'm looking forward to seeing all the fans there, and especially my Fan Club who are coming. Last year I couldn't get the podium which was a big shame.

“I wanted it because I was competing in Spain and the season had been perfect and also because I was wearing Shoya's helmet in his memory. I had a good race two weeks ago in Misano and now I am very confident we can obtain another podium, we believe we can again reduce our gap to Casey."

Jorge has to ramp up the pressure on Stoner and hope he makes a mistake or it's all over. Phillip Island is a big ask against Stoner so he has to find something on these other tracks. The clock is ticking...

George,Casey,Dani,Ben,Dovi,Simmo and Aragon. Potential winners mentioned. My pick for the win is Aragon. What a great circuit. Ducati had a huge weekend there last year.So given the winning data, their riders should do much of a repeat. At least.:)
