2012 MotoGP dates revealed

2012 MotoGP World Championship dates and venues revealed.
The FIM has today (Wednesday) released a provisional version of the 2012 MotoGP World Championship calendar.

The 18-round season (containing the same events as in 2011) once again starts in Qatar and ends in Valencia - although the Spanish, Portuguese and German rounds are still 'Subject To Contract'.

The German venue is the only circuit 'To Be Confirmed' with the Sachsenring reportedly unable to afford the hosting fee.

The two US rounds - Laguna Seca and Indianapolis - will now be back-to-back, albeit either side of the summer break.

Motegi stays near the end of the season - meaning there will again be three 'flyaway' rounds before Valencia.

Argentina is due to return to the MotoGP calendar in 2013, when a third US round at a new circuit in Austin (Texas) will also make its MotoGP debut.
