125: Zarco on pole in Japan

Johann Zarco takes pole position for the Japanese 125cc Grand Prix at Motegi.
Johann Zarco put some pressure back on 125cc title leader Nico Terol by claiming his third pole of the season at Motegi in Japan.

The Frenchman - still seeking his first grand prix win after six second-places this season - moved ahead of Terol with four minutes remaining, then improved further to finish 0.242sec ahead of Hector Faubel.

Faubel, Terol's Aspar Aprilia team-mate, took second place on his final lap, leaving Terol on the outside of the front row, 0.360sec from Zarco's Ajo Derbi.

Race winning rookie Maverick Vinales, quickest on Friday afternoon, will head row two fro Paris Hilton Aprilia.
