West back in MotoGP

Anthony West to ride CRT MotoGP bike for Speed Master.
Anthony West has announced that he will race in the MotoGP World Championship next season.

A message on West's official Facebook page, states that the former factory Kawasaki MotoGP rider will "ride a CRT bike in MotoGP!"

A subsequent comment adds that West will ride for the Speed Master team.

West, a former 250GP and WSS race winner, has spent the last two seasons racing in Moto2 for MZ.

The 30-year-old Australian took a best finish of fourth (twice) this year, which was spent mainly on FTR machinery. He finished 22nd in the championship.

West also made 14 500cc starts on a privateer Honda during 2001.

Speed Master won three Moto2 races with Andrea Iannone this year.

Former Gp winner has been lumped with 2nd class bikes all his riding career and still puts in 100%..is up front in the rain because it's the great equaliser..if the CRT bikes are within 4 seconds in testing with no-bodies onboard, wait until the weather gets nasty and Ant West, and other quality riders, get a sniff of a podium then we will see something special!!..couch-racers here who bag- out these guys and who circulate in the slow group at their local ride day should learn and earn some perspective..these guys are the real deal!!
