Elena Rosell to ride for QMMF Moto2 team in 2012?
Elena Rosell looks set to become the first woman since Katja Poensgen in 2003 to sign up for a full grand prix season.

The 25-year-old Spaniard - who overcame a tough Moto2 debut attempt for Aspar at Assen to finish as a wild-card at Aragon (33rd) and Valencia (25th) - is reported by Marca to be joining the QMMF team.

Mashel Al Naimi, Ricard Cardus, Nasser Hasan Al Malki and Alexander Cudlin made appearances for the QMMF Moriwaki squad in 2011.

Poensgen scored two grand prix points during the 2001 250cc season.

HOLD ON A MINUTE!!!! It drives me mad when people get seats they don't deserve, but on one of her two other outings she got, umm, 25th was it? So with 40 starters she beat 15 other riders. Of course she deserves her seat! We're not talking about getting a satellite MotoGP Honda, just a ride in Moto2. Where's the problem? We've plenty of Brits in 125 racing who comparatively aren't doing as well as her- give the girl a chance eh?
