125: Terol to be honoured at Valencia

Nico Terol to have a corner named in his honour at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo MotoGP circuit.
Nico Terol, the last ever winner of the 125cc World Championship, is to have a corner of the Valencia circuit named in his honour.

Local star Terol started his racing career at the Spanish track, where he was crowned champion in the 2011 125cc finale on November 6. The 23-year-old must now decide which of the unnamed corners he wishes to claim.

"We do not yet know which corner to choose, but the important thing is that it is a great honour to have a corner at the track where I started my career and where I was crowned champion" stated Terol.

Terol joins Mick Doohan, Jorge Martinez 'Aspar', Adrian Campos, Champi Herreros and Angel Nieto in having a Valencia corner named in his honour.

Terol will graduate with the Aspar team to Moto2 next year, when the 125cc World Championship will be replaced by the new Moto3 class.

Bit early for this! - Unregistered

I think it's a bit premature in the Lads career to start naming corners after him. Fair enough if he goes on to win 10 more titles, yes, start naming corners after him, circuits even!!! I know the Spanish love the small bikes, this being the last year of them, etc... but please, a sense of perspective!
