MotoGP Rider of the Year 2011:
Your score out of 10:
Monster Yamaha Tech 3
109 (7.3 points per start average)
Colin Edwards is the first rider in the top ten that you ranked above his official world championship position, the Texan scoring an average of 6.20 out of 10 for eighth place in the Crash.net MotoGP Rider of the Year poll.
Edwards was the only satellite-bike rider to finish on the MotoGP podium in 2011 - and did so, at Silverstone, just one week after breaking his collarbone at Catalunya! The Catalunya accident ended Edwards' perfect run of 141 consecutive starts and the Texan also missed Valencia, due to injuries sustained in the tragic Sepang accident.
A best of fifth place in the dry, the Texan's fourth and final year at Tech 3 Yamaha saw him finish as the top satellite-bike rider in the championship - and in the Crash.net poll.

9. Nicky Hayden
10. Valentino Rossi
About the vote:
Over 79,000 votes were cast during this year's Crash.net MotoGP poll, which asked viewers to award each of the 17 full-time riders a score out of 10.
As well as results, viewers were asked to take into account factors such as machinery specification, performance relative to team-mates, injuries, plus the ability to communicate with fans and promote the sport.
The full 17-rider rundown will be listed after the winner is announced on December 31.
