LCR Honda's Stefan Bradl knocked 1.2 seconds off his best lap from the opening day of the Sepang MotoGP tests to cap a satisfying day's work in Malaysia.

Bradl, the current Moto2 world champion, completed 41 laps in total at Sepang in the sweltering heat on his 1000cc RC213V.

The LCR team focused on bike set-up and Bradl posted his fastest lap of 2m02.414s in the morning session to end the day in 11th position overall.

"Today has been a full day of work for me and the guys. We made some good steps forward in our 'to do' list including suspension regulations, chassis geometry adjustments and some electronics," he said.

"I found the bike easier to ride and my fastest lap time came early in the morning and I was very pleased with that."

Repsol Honda's Casey Stoner led the way (2m0.895s) followed by factory Yamaha duo Ben Spies and Jorge Lorenzo.
