Moto2: Marco Colandrea signs for SAG

"Marco may be a young rider, but he has a lot of talent and determination to ride in Moto2" - Eduardo Perales.
Stop and Go Racing (SAG) have put an end to speculation about who will join Angel Rodriguez in their 2012 Moto2 line-up by announcing the signing of 17 year-old Swiss, Marco Colandrea.

Colandrea had three 125cc wild-card rides in 2011 and competed in the German IDM Supersport championship, finishing 18th, with two top-ten finishes.

"I am very excited about this opportunity," he said, "I'm young but I know it will be necessary to take the maximum advantage of this period and be smart on the track not to lose sight of my goal, which is simply to learn from the stronger riders and do better race after race. I want to thank my family, my manager Paulo Auro of all Sports Consulting and Edu Perales for this great opportunity."

Team boss Perales added: "Marco may be a young rider, but he has a lot of talent and determination to ride in Moto2 and has to realise that the team will give him the maximum to put him in the condition to do well. I hope that this will be a lasting and fruitful union."
