“Excited to announce that I'll be standing in for Toby Moody" - Steve Day.
Steve Day has announced that he will stand-in for
Eurosport MotoGP commentator Toby Moody at four events during the 2012 season.
Earlier this week Moody announced that he is replace Ben Edwards as ITV's live
BTCC commentator at all ten events this year (
click here). Edwards is moving to the BBC's F1 team.
Whilst Moody intends to continue his
Eurosport MotoGP commitments alongside Julian Ryder and Neil Spalding for as many events as he can, there will be some clashes.
As such, fellow Motorcycle racing commentator and journalist Day has now announced via his Twitter account (@_SteveDay) that he will step in.
“Excited to announce that I'll be standing in for @TobyMoody for 4 Moto GP events in 2012. Big shoes to fill but looking forward to it!” he wrote.
“You may not be getting the whole dream team but I'll be with @MotoGPJules and @Spalders for Jerez, Assen, Brno and Sepang so 2/3 isn't bad!”
