The final 2012 CRT MotoGP entry will make its track debut on Friday, when Gresini Racing's FTR-Honda starts a shakedown run at Imola.
Michele Pirro's bike, which features a Ten Kate-tuned CBR1000RR engine and electronics, will be on track for three days alongside Italian championship riders.
Pirro, stepping up to the premier-class from Moto2, will then head straight for the final official pre-season test at Jerez from March 23-25.
That is where the full 21 rider MotoGP grid, containing nine 'Claiming Rule Teams', will be on track together for the first time. The eight other CRTs have already completed at least one test.
Alvaro Bautista, Pirro's Gresini MotoGP team-mate, will race a Honda RC213V this year.
