PICS: Jerez MotoGP testing

Pictures from the start of the final MotoGP pre-season test.

The test marks the first time that the full 21 rider grid, including the nine new CRT entries, have been on track at the same time.

It does look a bit bare MM, but Paul Bird has said that it was much easier to get sponsors for MotoGP and BSB than WSBK. He is fortunate to be able to afford to subsidise the race team from his own pocket - something he also did for Kawasaki over the last few seasons. I presume he has the money in place - bear in mind he also runs a BSB team and a rally car team.

Looks like a serious lack of sponsorship on the PBM bike. I hope they've got enough money to see the season through, if only for Ellisons sake.
