‘Road to London for Sic’ a success

The charity motorcycle ride 'Road to London for Sic' concluded on Thursday as a Marco Simoncelli helmet was delivered to the Riders for Health stage at Silverstone.

Their arrival was greeted with a rapturous reception from the thousands of British fans at the circuit for the annual 'Day of Champions', who applauded the 14 Vespas into the circuit at the end of a mammoth road trip that started in Morciano last Friday.

The helmet went to auction along with a commemorative 'Road to London for Sic' jacket and framed photo.

The helmet fetched an impressive £2,000 and the jacket and photo £650, contributing to a total of £3,300 to be split 50-50 between the Marco Simoncelli Fondazione and Riders for Health.

Man I miss Marco a lot. we never knew his true potential on track (alien x super fast) but we knew how great a sportsman and a family guy he was. For those who care to know like me I would appreciate to know the physiological cause of death. RIP Super Sic we miss you!
