Alvaro Bautista built on his maiden pole position start by securing his best ever MotoGP finish at Silverstone with fourth for the San Carlo Gresini Honda team.

Bautista had received a confidence boost following his performance at Catalunya and he continued to make progress at the British Grand Prix, culminating in his surprise pole time in Saturday's qualifying.

And Bautista proved it was no fluke with an inspired ride to fourth on the RC213V as he now aims to establish himself as a regular frontrunner in the elite class.
