Dani Pedrosa arrives at this weekend's German MotoGP with his sights firmly set on continuing his Sachsenring win streak with a first victory of the season.
Jorge Lorenzo's Assen accident means Pedrosa, although still third in the standings, is now 19 points from joint leaders Lorenzo and Casey Stoner.
While Repsol Honda team-mate Stoner has won three times from seven rounds, Pedrosa has been forced to settle for a best of second place (three times) but is confident his 'time will come'.
A victory this weekend would be Pedrosa's third in a row at the twisty Sachsenring.
"Sachsenring has been a successful track for us in the past, we've got some very good results there and it's a circuit where I always enjoy racing,” he said.
"Every race counts and we have to keep working hard and our time will come.
"We had a very good weekend in Assen and we have to repeat it in Germany; hopefully with the first win of 2012 that we are chasing so much.
"Sachsenring is a short track where the performance of the tyres will again play a big part, because you are leaning on the left a long time and the fastest corner is to the right.
"We need to set up the bike the best we can and give our best on Sunday."
Victory for Pedrosa this weekend would also be a timely reminder of his talents as HRC plans its post-Stoner factory team.
