Bradl playing waiting game at Indy

Stefan Bradl insists he is still tweaking the set-up on the LCR Honda as he waits for the Indianapolis circuit to establisg some grip ahead of qualifying.
Stefan Bradl says he is content with waiting for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to establish some grip before committing to the set-up he will use for the remainder of the weekend.

The German rider, who is debuting a new Red Bull emblazoned livery aboard the LCR Honda this weekend, proved competitive on his first outing around the American venue riding a MotoGP bike as he ended the day in eighth place.

Even so, he says there is still much work to be done before qualifying as the tricky infield, which isn't used much in addition to this weekend's MotoGP event, continues to improve with every session.

“We all knew that it would have not been so easy today because the infield was very dirty and the tarmac did not provide very good grip condition. So at this point it was not easy to work on the bike finding the proper set-up especially when you have to struggle with the tyres.

“This situation made my first outing here even more difficult but in general we are not far from the top group and from our standard pace. Actually we must improve the rear feeling entering the corners and I think we will be capable to improve our pace for tomorrow's qualifying.”
