Toni Elias will continue as a stand in rider for Pramac Ducati at Brno this weekend, following further injuries for Hector Barbera at Indianapolis.

Barbera attempted an early return from a broken leg last weekend, only to highside at the end of opening practice and fracture three vertebrae.

Elias was already on hand to take over from his fellow Spaniard once again, and rode to eleventh place in the race, having crashed out of the previous Laguna Seca round.

Former Moto2 champion and MotoGP race winner Elias has now been confirmed by Pramac for Brno, a track where Elias scored his most recent MotoGP podium in 2009 - and second place as a full time Pramac Ducati rider in 2008.

"I'm really excited about going to the Czech Republic with the Pramac Racing Team and I feel very honoured to be confirmed as a substitute, for this 12th round of the season," said Elias.

"I will stand in with the Green Energy Team for the third time and my feeling, both with the bike and the team, is increasing a lot compared to the Laguna Seca race.

"Brno is one of my favourite tracks, because it's technical and fast and these features allow riders to get the full potential of their bike.

"I have great memories here in Brno and they are a big stimulus to catch a good result also this year."

No date has yet been set for Barbera's return, with the following round at Misano on September 14-16.
