Pedrosa aiming to stay strong

"We need to keep focused and strong and with options for the victory every weekend" - Dani Pedrosa.
After a near perfect weekend at Indianapolis - in which he claimed pole positron, a new record fastest race lap and victory - Dani Pedrosa is looking to continue the momentum as the MotoGP series moves straight to Brno this weekend.

The Repsol Honda rider, now 18 points from title leader Jorge Lorenzo, has never won in the premier-class at the Czech circuit - but is in the best form of his MotoGP career with podiums in the last seven rounds, including two wins.

“Brno is a wide and very fast track, with high speed corners where it is important to have good grip and front end feeling. Honda has been strong in the past few years there, so we hope to have a good performance in this race also,” he said.

“I'm looking forward to the race in Brno and to fight again for the victory. The set-up of the bike and electronics can be key, as well as the weather which is always a little changeable in the Czech Republic.

“We need to keep focused and strong and with options for the victory every weekend".

Pedrosa crashed from the race lead at Brno last year.

umm he was pretty much up there in last years race till he crashed out from the LEAD!! pole position too! I hope he wins, of all the riders, this little guy deserves the success he has had this year. Numerous injuries and he still comes back hungry...what a legend!

Here's the irony: last season Pedrosa was considering retirement from racing, and this season he's got what seems his best shot at the title. So good call staying, Dani. I'm a Lorenzo fan, but I won't be sad if Pedrosa takes the crown. He deserves it too.
