MotoGP title leader Jorge Lorenzo will test an early version of next year's Yamaha M1 during Monday's official post-race test at Brno.
“Tomorrow Jorge will test the first 2013 prototype 1000cc M1 and Ben [Spies] will be testing 2012 M1 set up solutions,” said team director Massimo Meregalli.
Lorenzo's championship lead has been cut to 13-points, with six rounds to go, after he lost out to Honda's Dani Pedrosa in a thrilling last-turn showdown in Sunday's Czech Republic Grand Prix.
Pedrosa has been racing an early version of the 2013 Honda since July's Laguna Seca round, however the MotoGP engine change restrictions complicate such a move.
Spies is not testing the 2013 bike since he is leaving the Factory Yamaha team at the end of this season. The Texan will be replaced by Valentino Rossi.
