Three riders in talks with Gresini

Three riders in talks with Gresini Honda for 2013 MotoGP season.
Fausto Gresini, team principal of the San Carlo Honda Gresini team, has confirmed to the official MotoGP website that Ben Spies and Scott Redding - as well as current rider Alvaro Bautista - are under consideration for 2013.

Spies is already confirmed as leaving the Factory Yamaha team, while Moto2 star Redding recently tested for Ducati and has made clear his premier-class aspirations.

The Gresini ride is the only RC213V seat not yet taken for next season, with Dani Pedrosa (Repsol), Marc Marquez (Repsol) and Stefan Bradl (LCR) already in place.

Former Suzuki rider Bautista took his first MotoGP pole at Silverstone, where he went on to finish a career best fourth in the race, but his momentum was stunted when he caused a first-turn accident at the following Assen round.

The Spaniard is seventh in the standings, one place behind rookie Bradl. Gresini is the only Honda team to run Showa rather than Ohlins suspension.

In the past Gresini has been provided with full factory motorcycles for Daijiro Kato, Sete Gibernau and Marco Simoncelli.

I think Ben would thrive at Gresini,New Team,New Bike and most importantly a new pit Crew (i would Hope) Also being the lone prototype rider on the team He could setup the bike the way he wanted too. We know the Honda can be riden well by a Larger rider as Marco showed us last season.

Oh the humiliation for Yamaha it would be if Spies took a RELIABLE factory Honda and got back up to the front where he should be. There would be no better package than a factory RC213V if he was looking to stay in MotoGP. While i would love to see him riding a GSVR it doesnt seem like Suzuki is ready to jump in with everything yet.
