PIC: Jonathan Rea on Repsol Honda

World Superbike star Jonathan Rea in action during his Repsol Honda MotoGP debut in testing at Brno on Monday.

Rea is set to replace injured world champion Casey Stoner, should the Australian be unfit to ride at the forthcoming Misano and Aragon rounds.

UPDATE: Rea finished the test in eighth place, with a best lap time 3.134s behind Tech 3 Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow and 2.892s from full-time Repsol Honda racer Dani Pedrosa.

mason,if you knew the rules then you could of saved wastting time with your rant. the rookie rule only applies to full time riders and not to any stand in rider or part time rider. thanks for your opinion though. baaahhhhhhhh lol

What a load of cr*p from 'crash'. Laverty took Rea out yesterday and not a word said. Rea in the last round got taken out just before the finish - not a word said. Obviously a Rea hater for some sinister reason other than motorcycling and definately jealous of a talented individual!
