MotoGP rookie Stefan Bradl, currently locked in a close contest with Alvaro Bautista for top satellite Honda honours in this year's championship, concluded Monday's Brno test just 0.005s quicker than the Spaniard.

Bradl has scored 30-points over the past three rounds and Bautista a near identical 29 - with sixth placed Bradl leading Bautista by just three points in the championship.

Young German Bradl completed a total of 69 test laps, the fastest of which was 0.695s behind pace setter Cal Crutchlow (Tech 3 Yamaha) for fifth on the timesheets.

"It was a very long and hard-working day for me and the guys," said Bradl. "We tried many things starting with the new Nissin brake system, which is working pretty good and then suspensions settings both in the front and in the rear.

"We found some small improvements in the acceleration area and braking stability which will help me in the future races. We also lapped on some 2013 spec tyres finding a good pace in the afternoon.

"At the end it was a productive day because we sorted out several things."

Bradl finished fifth in Sunday's race, with Bautista sixth.
