Spies confident in Aragon set-up

“We should be able to get onto the pace quickly on Friday morning” – Ben Spies.
Ben Spies arrives in Aragon this weekend looking to build on his fifth place finish in Misano, following a rare trouble-free 2012 weekend for the Texan.

The Factory Yamaha rider is hoping his torrid run of race-day incidents are now behind him - and is also aiming to exploit extra set-up time offered by a recent Aragon test, attended by Yamaha and Honda.

“We had a really good test here a few weeks ago so I'm hoping the conditions are similar,” said Spies.

“We've got a really good base set up for the track so we should be able to get onto the pace quickly on Friday morning.

“It was great to have a weekend in Misano with no issues, I'm hoping it will be like this for the rest of the year so we can concentrate on just giving 100% on the track.

Spies finished fifth at Aragon in both 2010 and 2011.
