De Puniet aims to extend CRT advantage at Aragon

'We want to continue to be the reference point in CRT' - Randy de Puniet
Power Electronics Aspar's Randy de Puniet will strive to put some daylight between himself and team-mate Aleix Espargaro at Aragon this weekend.

De Puniet is the leading CRT rider in the championship, but is just three points ahead of Espargaro after the pair's season-long battle.

The Aspar duo are 20 points clear of their nearest CRT challenger and are set to fight it out to the end to be crowned the leading Claiming Rules Team rider.

De Puniet, though, fears the weather may play a prominent role at Aragon.

“I have checked the weather forecast and it looks like it is going to rain although I hope we can get a dry session,” he said.

“Motorland is a fast circuit with some steep hills and I find it interesting to ride. I have always had a good feeling there although never managed great results.

“Hopefully this weekend the result matches the feeling. We want to continue to be the reference point in CRT,” he added.

“We have had a good base setting for the last few races so we won't touch much this weekend - just a few small tweaks.”

Put Randy back on a prototype. He is a great rider thats has been on **** bikes. He was on a decent bike in 2010 with the LCR Honda and was doing great until he got injured at the Sachsenring.I have never figured out why Tech 3 a French team has never given him a shot. Does anybody know the reason?
