Mahindra's Danny Webb hopes to put his first corner fall at Misano behind him as he chases a points finish at Aragon on Sunday.
The 21-year-old British rider, who will leave Mahindra Racing at the end of the season to join World Wide Communication (WWC) in Moto3 next year, will grasp the chance to further develop the new engine he used at Misano.
“I've got good memories of Aragon, and it's an interesting track,” he said.
“Bad weather meant we didn't have much time in the dry with the new crankshaft at Misano, then I had a really unlucky race with a crash in the first corner.
“I'm looking forward to trying the new engine again, to keep pushing the project forward,” he added.
“It helps the bike carry speed on the straight.”
Czech teenager Miroslav Popov will continue to stand in for injured test rider and team regular Riccardo Moretti this weekend.
