There will be a fifth Yamaha M1 on the grid in this weekend's Japanese MotoGP.

31-year-old factory test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga, who rode in place of the injured Jorge Lorenzo at last year's Sepang and Valencia rounds, has been granted a wild-card entry for Motegi.

Nakasuga - who had previously made three wild-card starts in the 250cc class - qualified last for the cancelled Sepang race, then rode from 15th on the grid to sixth in the damp Valencia grand prix.
