With one round remaining, the top four places in the 2012
MotoGP Riders' World Championship are already decided.
Jorge Lorenzo's 43 point lead over
Dani Pedrosa means the Yamaha rider is champion, while Pedrosa is in turn 69 points clear of team-mate
Casey Stoner in third.
Stoner, despite missing three races, is 30 points ahead of Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Andrea Dovizioso, with a maximum of 25 points still remaining.
Dovizioso is confirmed fourth, as the leading satellite rider, with San Carlo Gresini Honda's Alvaro Bautista 43-points adrift of the Italian.
Fight for fifth:Bautista, Tech 3's Cal Crutchlow and Ducati's
Valentino Rossi all have a shot at fifth place, being covered by just 14-points.
Eighth place Stefan Bradl cannot catch Bautista, and would need to win to bridge the 22-point gap to Rossi, with Crutchlow also a 'safe' 16 points ahead of the Honda LCR rookie.
Bradl is 13 points clear of ninth place
Nicky Hayden (Ducati), while fellow American Ben Spies (Yamaha) - missing the last two rounds due to injuries - will be knocked outside the top ten if Hector Barbera scores six or more points on his final Pramac Ducati appearance.
Top CRT:In the battle for top CRT, Aleix Espargaro has outscored team-mate
Randy de Puniet in the last four races, giving the Spaniard a solid eleven-point advantage over the Frenchman for twelfth in the championship and top privateer honours.
Constructors' crown:In the Constructors' Championship, Honda will take a 21-point lead over Yamaha into the last round and thus needs just one RCV rider in the top twelve to take the title.
Repsol Honda has already wrapped up the 2012
MotoGP Teams' Championship.
