Fresh from the announcement that he will ride with official HRC support from 2014, Stefan Bradl got his preparations for the 2013 MotoGP World Championship season off to a good start by proving quick in testing at Valencia.
Ending his maiden MotoGP season in eighth overall with a best finish of fourth, 2010 Moto2 champion Bradl completed just 30 laps over the two days due to inclement weather conditions but was second fastest on day one and third on day two.
Heading into the winter break with confidence, Bradl was pleased with his lap times under the circumstances.
“This morning we were waiting for some potential dry track time to evaluate some 2013 bike parts but it took a long time for the surface to dry out and at the end I could ride only in the last two hours.
“The conditions were still pretty bad with some patches along the track but the first impact with the overall package was good and this makes me very confident ahead the next winter tests in Sepang.”
