Test debuts: Marquez, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner...
Moto2 world champion Marc Marquez turned heads by lapping an impressive 1.081s from the top during a 28-lap MotoGP debut on the final day of a rain-delayed Valencia test.

Below is a list of some other first-day MotoGP performances by riders that have recently made their premier-class debuts.

Casey Stoner - pictured on his MotoGP test debut for Honda Pons - stands head-and-shoulders clear of the rest.

Conditions at the 2005 test were cool and windy on day one, when Stoner and Dani Pedrosa made their MotoGP debuts, then wet throughout day two.

This year's test saw a wet first day, when the likes of Marquez and fellow rookie Bradley Smith did not ride, with dry laps on the final afternoon.

Future double world champion Stoner later switched to LCR Honda for his first 2006 MotoGP season...

Come On Crash, you guys could discribe the picture a bit better.. I remember that in 2005 at Valencia was wet weather similar to 2012.. How we know what was the effort of riders for we compared the times?? Stoner can be more closer then Marquez because him 2005 no one bored on make a fast lap why you dont tell us the name of the rider that did the fastest lap im 2005 for Stoner be only 0.64s of the pace, All bet it was nicky Hayden..lolo.. this year Pedrosa whanted to prove us the Boss at Repsol=).lolo thats why he did a good lap on this condicioes to let Marquez at 1 secund..ehe
