Moto2: de Angelis tests Speed Up

Ricky Cardus used an FTR chassis for his debut test at Valencia, when fourth rider Mattia Pasini - absent from Almeria - got in a handful of Speed Up laps.

Cardus only took part in the first day of the Almeria test, presumably due to a lack of parts, but was said to have cut the gap to the top by half a second.

“It's a shame I was only able to do one day of testing but regardless of that it was a very good one. I have consolidated my feeling with the Speed Up,” said the Spaniard. “We tested here in Almeria previously and since, we have tested many things that make me confident for next season. I can now go home for the winter break with peace of mind thanks to the feeling obtained during this last test.”

The first pre-season test of 2013 will start at Jerez on February 12.
