Moto2: Pradita's Gresini test cut short by eye issue
Gresini's Doni Tata Pradita was forced to conclude a test at Almeria in Spain prematurely after suffering an inflamed cornea.

The Indonesian youngster had to wrap up the three-day test early as a result of the incident when something when into his eye, but made solid progress nonetheless.

Pradita, who will be 22 in February, initially rode the Gresini bike for the first time at a test in Valencia following the final Grand Prix of the season.

No official announcement was made regarding Pradita prior to the Valencia test last month, however he was listed on the provisional 2013 entry list with this Ratthapark Wilairot – who remains in the team – replacing Gino Rea, who has been linked to the vacant seat at the ESGP Team.

Further tests are planned at Valencia and Jerez in the New Year, when Team Federal Oil Gresini will finalise their plans for 2013.

Pradita completed a season in the 250cc class in 2008 on an uncompetitive Yamaha, finishing 28th overall and earning a single championship point.

He is one of two Indonesians on the 2013 entry list, alongside Rafid Topan Sucipto at QMMF.

Well Rea beat his team mate by six WC positions and 12 points in his rookie season and still got the sack so I won't be holding my breath. Mind you, this guy will doubtless be bringing asian millions with him so his performance may be viewed slightly more favourably
