Marquez falls at Sepang

Marc Marquez slides off his Repsol Honda early on final day of testing at Sepang.
UPDATE: Marquez has not only returned to the track but - shortly before 1pm - set his fastest lap of the test so far and moved up to third place, +0.536s behind Pedrosa...

Star rookie Marc Marquez walked away from his first MotoGP fall when he lost control of his Repsol Honda at the final turn hairpin of the Sepang circuit on Thursday morning.

The Spanish teenager, an impressive third on the opening two days of testing, is fifth fastest, but had been edging closer to the top - moving from +1.1s to 0.8s from Repsol Honda team-mate and pace setter Dani Pedrosa.

Marquez, who has been pulling extreme lean angles, is reported to have lowsided from his RC213V (pictured as it was being returned to the pits after the fall).

The four riders ahead - Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Cal Crutchlow and Valentino Rossi - set their best times earlier this morning: Pedrosa, Lorenzo and Crutchlow within their opening five laps, Rossi on his 13th lap and Marquez his 22nd.
