Moto2: 'Happy' Terol continues impressive form
Nico Terol continued his impressive start to 2013 by leading two of the three days at this week's official Jerez Moto2 test.

Aspar's former 125cc world champion was just 18th overall in his rookie Moto2 campaign, but emerged second fastest to pre-season favourite Pol Espargaro at the opening Valencia test.

Terol was then fastest during a wet start to the Jerez test, followed by fifth on the only day of dry running, then quickest again on a cold and wet Thursday.

All of which means that Terol and Espargaro have each led three days of official winter testing, although Espargaro has set the fastest overall lap at both outings.

"We hoped for dry weather on day three to gather further information, but this test has been good to improve the set-up for wet conditions,” said Terol.

“The team has worked excellently and we are ready for any conditions. I leave Jerez happy since the first two tests have been exceptional. The most important thing is that we are very consistent in all conditions.

“I would have liked a dry final day to push for a lap time, but I'll keep that for when we return in March.”

Team-mate Jordi Torres was eighth quickest.

The final official pre-season test will be held at Jerez in mid-March.
