MOTOGP » Bradl fourth as test commences at Sepang

'Actually the track conditions were worse than the first test so today's lap time is not as good as my first outing here' - Stefan Bradl
Bradl happy with top four time on LCR Honda
Stefan Bradl was in the mix on his factory-spec Honda RC213V on day one of the second Sepang MotoGP test as the German rider secured the fourth fastest time.

Bradl was 0.379s adrift of the fastest lap set by Dani Pedrosa on the official Repsol Honda as he ended the opening day ahead of factory Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi.

He completed 38 laps before rain interrupted the afternoon session, setting a best time of 2m 01.959s.

“Actually the track conditions were worse than the first test so today's lap time is not as good as my first outing here,” he said.

“Due to the slippery surface it took me a while to get a proper confidence and a proper speed but we were able to put in many laps trying out some braking system components and geometry settings.

“Around 3pm it started to rain so I had a couple of laps in the wet aboard the 2013 machine for the first time and the verdict was quite positive.”
