NGM Forward Racing owner Giovanni Cuzari's long-term goal for MotoGP is to provide an 'appealing' team format for a prospective constructor.

Forward, which finished seventh in the new privateer CRT category with Colin Edwards on Suter-BMW machinery last season, has added young Italian rookie Claudio Corti to its 2013 line-up - and switched to FTR-Kawasakis.

"In the case of CRT the long-term goal is to maintain the visibility on track even in the case of suffering 'inconveniences' [in the short term] and create a team that has an appealing format for a prospective constructor that might eventually become interested," said Cuzari, speaking during the team's official launch in Milan (pictured).

"It is obvious that having two riders allows the team to develop the CRT prototypes at a faster pace."

Forward has been linked with the possible use of Yamaha M1 engines for 2014, while Suzuki will need to source its planned 2014 grid places from an existing team should Dorna hold firm on providing no additional entries.

In addition to MotoGP, Forward will run four riders in Moto2 this year: Simone Corsi, Alex de Angelis, Mattia Pasini and Ricky Cardus. All will use the Speed Up chassis.
