The Marc VDS team unveiled its Moto2 and Moto3 bikes during an official launch at the team's headquarters in Gosselies, Belgium (pictured).

Fifth with four podiums in last year's Moto2 series, Scott Redding enters his fourth year with Marc VDS boosted by the new minimum rider and bike weight limit.

The Englishman will be seeking nothing less than his first 600cc wins and a title challenge, while team principal Michael Bartholemy also tips Redding's experienced team-mate Mika Kallio - a five time winner in the former 250cc category - to be something of a dark horse.

"Our season started with the first test in Valencia, but the launch was the first time we've shown the bikes in their 2013 livery," said Bartholemy. "With Scott we go into the season as one of the favourites to fight for the championship, but I think Mika may also surprise a few people this year."

Marc VDS is also running a Moto3 entry this season, for young Belgian Livio Loi.

Due to his age, the 15-year-old will have to wait until round three, at Jerez, for his world championship debut, but is receiving a full pre-season testing programme nonetheless.

Loi will test again at Le Mans next week, before re-joining his team-mates at Jerez for the final official pre-season test of 2013, starting on 18th March.

Marc VDS president Marc van der Straten has great long-term expectations for Loi.

"Livio faces a tough debut season, but I have every confidence that he will bank the experience this year, ready to challenge for the title in 2014," he said. "The more I see of Livio, the more I am convinced that he will be the guy to put Belgium back on the grand prix map."
