Yamaha announce 2013 MotoGP launch date
Yamaha to unveil Rossi, Lorenzo colours at Jerez
The Factory Yamaha team will unveil the 2013 MotoGP race colours of reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo and returning seven time title winner Valentino Rossi at Jerez.

The unveiling will take place on March 22, the day before the start of the third and final official pre-season test at the Spanish circuit.

Yamaha has not had a title sponsor since Fiat in 2010, the last year before Rossi made an ill-fated move to Ducati, leaving the Japanese brand to opt for corporate blue and white colours for the last two seasons.

However Rossi's return to Yamaha, where he won four of his titles, has resulted in some new branding from Monster.

Rossi and Lorenzo have used a grey and black livery in pre-season testing to date - Rossi's bike also featuring some of his trademark yellow, with red used on Lorenzo's M1.

A blue-and-white 'base' livery, incorporating yellow numbers and front fender for Rossi, with red for Lorenzo, would thus be a reasonable bet for the new design - and most of those colours seem feature in a teaser video released by Yamaha to announce the launch (screenshot pictured).

Yamaha will be the last of the factory MotoGP teams to unveil its 2013 livery. The new racing season starts in Qatar on the evening of April 7.

I hope to see 2 bikes that differ drastically. A red themed bike for Jorge and yellow theme for Vale of course! Yamaha has used both colors in some way historically, so.......
