2013 MotoGP Testing: Summary so far...
The third and final official 2013 MotoGP pre-season test takes place at Jerez in Spain from March 23-25.

Here is a summary of the results so far, following two official tests held at Sepang in Malaysia during February.








Average Ranking - Official 2013 testing to date
The 2013 MotoGP race riders ranked by their average finishing position over all six days of official testing at Sepang. 28 riders, including test riders (not listed below), recorded a lap time at each test. Where two riders were equal on average, their fastest lap time was used as a tie-break.

It is unfair to lump all the riders together. There should be one category for the first four bikes, another the satellite ones + Ducs, and yet another for CRTs.
The first four are not necessarily placed as such owing to their own capabilities. Put one of them on the second category and the position will adjust accordingly. Well there's good evidence for that. We have sen how the infallible one got humbled on the red bike of the second group!

From these numbers it looks like good potential for a battle for the top spot, followed closely by a battle for the final step on the podium. 4-5 riders could possibly claim a "W" under the right circumstances.
