PIC: Marquez with elbow down - in the wet!

Images of exciting MotoGP rookie Marc Marquez dragging his elbow through the corners have been seen regularly during winter testing - but here he is doing it in the wet!

The picture was sent in by Crash.net's photographers during day one of the final pre-season MotoGP test at Jerez, on Saturday.

Moto2 champion Marquez was third fastest by the end of day one, behind Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo and his Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa.

@dacron the more he hangs off the less lean angle the bike = greater contact tyre patch and more grip. Go watch some wet and dry bike races, in the wet less lean more hang off and less likely to low side. Any reasonably experienced road rider knows that. Same applies in the dry. He won't be slipping off anymore than anyone else due to his style. Also, if you are such an expert on riding style and body position why aren't you at Jerez testing with the other world class riders? I'll take a wild stab in the dark and say Marquez knows a lot more than you about handling a MotoGP bike than you do
