Dani Pedrosa ends Jerez early

"Dani has nothing more to test in these weather conditions, he is happy with the bike and has left the circuit"
Further bad weather for the start of Monday's final day of 2013 MotoGP pre-season testing has prompted title runner-up Dani Pedrosa to leave Jerez early.

Honda state that Pedrosa has nothing more to test in these [wet] weather conditions, he is happy with the bike and has left the circuit."

Rookie Repsol Honda team-mate Marc Marquez may yet take to the track, depending on the weather.

Saturday at Jerez was wet throughout, with only a few hours of dry time possible on Sunday afternoon.

The next time that Pedrosa will ride his RC213V will be during opening practice for the Qatar night race, on Thursday April 4.

Of the nine days of official 2013 pre-season testing, six at Sepang and then three at Jerez, Pedrosa has been fastest for five of the days. Pedrosa was second to Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo on the wet opening day at Jerez, then fourth - but just 0.1s from the top - during the limited dry time on day two.
