Bradl optimistic Jerez just a blip

7 May 2013

After an off-pace Spanish MotoGP weekend, and ninth place during Monday's post-race test, Stefan Bradl is confident he and LCR Honda will be back on form for the French round at Le Mans.

The German was never higher than seventh during the Jerez race weekend, which saw the former Moto2 champion forced to participate in Q1 after being outside the free practice top ten. Bradl then crashed out of the race.

Bradl spent Monday's test trying to improve the front-end feeling of his RCV. No breakthrough was made, but he remains optimistic for the next round at Le Mans.

“Today was a very intense day for us,” said Bradl who rode for 71 laps, a tally beaten only by Jorge Lorenzo. “We worked on various aspects of the set-up trying to find a solution for our front-end issues.

“We did not focus on the quickest lap time but still we have to improve the bike as we lose too much time entering the corners. However I am optimistic that, in Le Mans, we can go back to our normal speed.”
